Be Dazzled by Bartok Tiles...

We begin with clay, heavy and dense, along with the delicate and airy glass.
The addition of heat transforms the clay into Terracotta, and the glass into enamel.
It is with the marriage of these two materials that Bartok tiles are born.
Each tile has its own brightness, varying textures, and with the playful use of coloured enamel we explore the world of Bartok Art.

Bartok tiles are made from a clay based ceramic called Terracotta, Italian for "baked earth." The tiles are hand made, hand painted, then fired at temperatures ranging from 950 - 980 degrees Celsius (1740 - 1800 degrees Fahrenheit).

The coloured glaze defines the beauty of the tiles. The textured enamel is so fascinating that you cannot resist wanting to reach out.... and touch...

In addition, every tile is handmade and unique. Like being born from nature, no two are alike which makes each tile personal and more enjoyable.
